Our Clinical Approach

Whether you are concerned about your brain health or have already begun to suffer from a brain-related condition, you can change your life to improve your outcomes. Genetics are not destiny, and neither is a diagnosis. Our clinical approach offers you the tools to change your whole life. It’s more than a prescription. The lifestyle approach (where what you eat, how you exercise, and even when you sleep matters) is clinically proven to help you reduce your risk of brain-related illness and to help you recover or prevent the progression of brain illnesses you may already have.

“Do not settle for labels that presume you will never heal. Believe in yourself. Find a tribe who understands and
believes in you too. Don’t ever give up.” Veronika Tugaleva

Brain Health is an Epidemic

Brain health is the leading concern for adults in the West and brain-related health conditions are the fastest growing epidemic. Today, 6.2 million people suffer from Alzheimer’s. By 2050 it is expected that 14 million people in the United States and 150 million individuals worldwide will be living with Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that slowly robs people of their thoughts, memories, and language, profoundly reducing their quality of life and impacting their family tremendously. Further, it is approaching the number one cause of morbidity in the United States and is already in the UK, Japan, and several other first-world nations.

Strokes are another serious concern when it comes to brain health. More than 795,000 people have a stroke in the US every year, and one person dies of that stroke every four minutes. When someone survives a stroke, recovery is a long process, with nominal success, and can result in permanent disability and dysfunction.

Today almost every family is touched by diseases of the brain. Preventing and treating them has been both Dr. Sherzai’s lifelong mission.

Improving Brain Health is Possible

There is good news. More than 80% of these brain-related conditions can be prevented. While traditional doctors will approach their clinical treatment of Alzheimer’s, strokes, and other brain conditions with a wide variety of tools, they are typically only responding to the condition once it has manifested, not preventing it. Further, they do not address lifestyle changes that have been clinically proven to benefit patients.

Current treatments for brain conditions are patchwork, piecemeal, but ours is a comprehensive lifestyle plan.

Our Comprehensive Approach to Brain Health

Our approach, which relies on the latest research, evidence-based medicine, as well as a comprehensive lifestyle intervention has been proven to be effective in preventing Alzheimer’s and reducing the progression of the condition. You can also reduce your odds of a stroke and improve outcomes in those that have had a stroke.

You don’t need to forgo any traditional treatments for Alzheimer’s, strokes, and other brain conditions to enjoy the benefits of this comprehensive approach. In fact, we offer traditional appointments, cognitive evaluations, testing, imaging, and other typical clinical care.

Plus, when you need support actually making the lifestyle changes, and everyone does, we offer coaching and a supportive community that can help you.
